Getting promoted is ALWAYS a good thing!!! Today I put on TSGT!! YEAHHHH. And in the military they have a ceremony and a long time tradition of "pinning on" or "tacking on".

Read, Reading, Read

Reading time, Every night the kids have to read for at least 15 minutes. With Jada I have NO PROBLEM getting her to read, She LOVES it!!!! Currently she is in the 4th grade, almost reading at a 6th grade level.. AMAZING..




Jaylen on the other hand, doesn't enjoy reading time tooo much... he doesn't mind when I read to him, but when it comes to him reading to me, that is another story. lol

Our mischief one

HOLY PIG!! Does this dog go through some toys!! We haven't found a toy yet, that can last more than a couple days... I thought this pig was the one, but I was wrong AGAIN!!! On the tag it said "the STRONGEST dog toy EVER" ... that was a load.







This is not an actual toy I got for him... but he was very bothered by this walking, barking toy robot dog.. LOL... it was actually very amusing to me.









And the PIG, only 6 days later... I should have brought it back to the store with the receipt and asked for my money back.. LOL

Playing NERF

Jaylen LOVES playing Wii, and loves it more when someone plays with him. So after much begging I broke down to play the Nerf Game... Jada is taking some photos of us.

~~Family Night~~ Game Night

Friday or Saturday (which ever night I am NOT working) is our family night. Tonight  El choose to play the Kinect on the Xbox 360. We played Ninja Fruit, a Sonic game, and another game with water rafting, obstacle courses, and more… it was really fun. Some the boys won and some (more) the girls WON!!! If you do not know, the Kinect is the controller free game system… you use your hands.

Starting Girl Scouts in Grand Forks

Before leaving England Jada bridged from a Brownie to a Junior Girl Scout. I went downtown today and bought her all her uniform items. Here’s her new uniform!!

We have meeting every 1st and 3rd Monday, Jada LOVES Girl Scouts. here is one of our meetings, the girls are making cards for the troops down range.

Back Again…

I tried something new, but it was not working out the way I had hoped. I don’t always like to write, but I LOVE sharing my photos, And sometimes a photo needs a story. The story behind the photos is sometimes the best part of sharing the photo. So I am back, again… We did have a couple months of “very, busy, chaos” our summer was full of traveling, moving, visiting, arriving, and settling” and now I can take a breather. But since our summer was sooo amazing I am going to catch up on JUST the summer, because I really want to share. so stay tuned, and become a follower…

Jada’s new instrument~ the Viola

Jada is our quiet, conservative one. Usually I am pushing her to try new things- dance, ballet, gymnastics, cheerleading, soccer, you name it, Jada has probably tried it. The only thing she actually stuck with and liked was karate. At our last base Jada tried guitar, but wasn’t that thrilled about it. So when we got here and she wanted to try another instrument, El and I hesitated, but decided we would try again. After buying a guitar ($130) we decided to rent this instrument—good thing because this viola is almost $900. YES,  nine hundred dollars… which went straight onto our insurance. So hopefully she likes it!!





Jada has practice every Tuesday at school and is suppose to be practicing during the week on her own. She is coming along and shows interest, which is good. Her first concert will be in Dec, so we will see.







Scooby doesn’t like the sounds too much, but he doesn’t care for the guitar either.. lol

Moving in…

So we had to decide whether or not we wanted to live on base… we haven’t lived on base in some time, nor did we REALLY want to live on base… but the road into town is 14 miles long, and people are telling us how horrible the drive is every day twice a day, especially in the winter months… so we choose to live on base. Besides we are not trying to live here forever. So after signing for a house we just had to wait till our stuff got here. Then there was the BIG move in day.













I hate packing up and moving, but even more I hate moving in… you have to find a new place for EVERYTHING!! It just so happen we had the next 5 days off to sort everything. And by the 5th day everything had a place and was in it’s spot… the only thing we were waiting on was our new living room set, and to hang pictures on the walls.
